Chaucer adds Emily Brand to energy team in Singapore office

Brand will report to Scott Ho, who leads the energy underwriting.

Chaucer Group has appointed Emily Brand as deputy class underwriter – Energy.

Based in Singapore, Brand will report to Scott Ho, who leads Chaucer’s energy underwriting operations in the region.

In her new role, Brand will support the development and execution of Chaucer’s energy underwriting strategy in the Asia-Pacific market, working alongside Ho and Charles Tan.

Brand brings over a decade of experience in marine and energy insurance.

She joins from AEGIS, where she served as Energy Underwriter.

She began her career at AEGIS in 2017 as an Underwriting Assistant and later advanced to Assistant Underwriter with a focus on energy.

Prior to that, she held roles at Markel and Lloyd’s.

The appointment underscores Chaucer’s intention to grow its energy portfolio in Asia-Pacific, reflecting the group’s view of the region as a key market for its global operations.
