Chubb Life opens Hong Kong wealth hub for high-net-worth clients
Chinese visitors alone spent $8b on life, critical illness, and medical policies in 2024.
Chubb Life Hong Kong has opened its first wealth centre, Chubb 1792 Club, located at The Gateway in Tsim Sha Tsui.
The new facility is aimed at serving affluent and high-net-worth clients, including mainland Chinese visitors seeking insurance and wealth management solutions.
The launch aligns with Hong Kong’s position as a key hub for insurance and asset management. By end-2023, the city’s asset and wealth management sector reached $3.97t, with 64% of assets sourced from non-residents.
Life insurance sales surged in 2024, driven by strong demand from both local and mainland Chinese customers.
Mainland Chinese visitors alone spent $8b on life, critical illness, and medical policies in 2024, up 6.5% from the previous year.
The Chubb 1792 Club spans nearly 10,000 square feet and incorporates art as part of its client engagement strategy.
The centre showcases works curated by ART021 Group, featuring eight artists including Yang Yongliang, Desmond Leung Kar Hao, and Wolfgang Tillmans.
This initiative follows Chubb Life Hong Kong’s ongoing partnerships with Art Basel Hong Kong and M+ Museum.
