FWD appoints CEOs for Malaysia insurance, takaful businesses

Mak See Sen and Aman Chowla will take over their CEO roles in November.

FWD Group has appointed Mak See Sen as chief executive officer of FWD Insurance Berhad and Aman Chowla to lead FWD Takaful.

Both CEO appointments will take effect on 18 November 2024.

Chowla first joined FWD in 2023 as CEO of FWD Insurance Berhad, and has over 20 years of experience working in the life and general insurance industry.

Salim Majid Zain, who has been CEO of FWD Takaful since 2019, will retire.

Mak, meanwhile, has over 24 years of industry experience. He has occupied senior roles in Manulife and Prudential, where he was tasked with managing agency distribution in Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, and the Greater Bay Area.

FWD Group has a full-service offering in Malaysia, offering both family takaful and life insurance solutions by FWD Takaful and FWD Insurance Berhad.
