FWD Insurance, IBPO Group Berhad launch inclusive life cover with loan financing

Both are Shariah-compliant.

FWD Insurance Berhad and IBPO Group Berhad announced a partnership to offer life protection with selected loan financing facilities. 

The arrangement covers IBPO’s Payday Financing and i-Bridge Financing programmes, which launch this month, and will provide inclusive life insurance with no underwriting questions required.

Payday Financing offers interest-free cash advances for urgent expenses before payday, whilst i-Bridge Financing provides short-term funding for homeowners, property sellers, and SMEs awaiting long-term bank financing disbursement. 

Both are Shariah-compliant. Applications can be made through IBPO’s online portal, myIBPO+, or its upcoming financial app.

The partnership includes a $23.84m (RM100m) financing fund for customers, with insurance coverage protecting beneficiaries from outstanding loan obligations in the event of death or disability during the financing term. 

Customers can also purchase individual plans from September 2025 starting at $1.93 (RM8.10) per month, with benefits covering death, total and permanent disability, accidental death, hospitalisation, critical illness, and medical costs, with protection of up to $119,189.55 (RM500,000).
