Generali Hong Kong adopts Citi-backed digital platform for premium payments

Generali Hong Kong and Citi has collaborated with Bindo Labs to launch a new digital solution for insurance premium payments.

The initiative enables Generali Hong Kong to accept policyholder payments through over 20 digital and physical payment methods, using Wonder’s unified payment infrastructure and Citi’s Spring by Citi® platform. 

It marks the first time a global insurer in Hong Kong has implemented such an integrated digital payment and reconciliation solution.

The system provides automated payment reconciliation and connects premium collections directly with policy statuses. 

It also features a transparent “interchange plus” pricing model and enables direct cash settlement to Citi. 

The cloud-based setup allows for quick upgrades and easier adoption of new payment methods, improving both operational efficiency and customer experience.
