Great Eastern General Insurance Malaysia names new CEO

He succeeds Ng Kok Kheng, who retires after 17 years in this role.

Great Eastern General Insurance (Malaysia) (GEGM) unveiled its new CEO, Jeremy Yeap, who succeeds Ng Kok Kheng.

Ng retired after 17 years in the role. Also, Yeap has over 25 years of experience in the general insurance industry, specialising in distribution channel development and transformation. 

Before joining GEGM, he spent 12 years at Generali Insurance Malaysia Berhad and AXA Affin General Insurance Berhad, holding senior executive positions.  

He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and an associate’s degree in General Insurance from the Asian Institute of Insurance. 

He is also a Chartered Insurer and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
