HDI Global appoints David Wilson as Global Head of Claims Energy & Power
He joins HDI from Allianz with 10-year experience.
HDI Global appointed David Wilson as Global Head of Claims Energy & Power, effective 1 March 2026, to integrate claims expertise across its Energy & Power portfolio.
Wilson joins from Allianz, where he worked for more than 10 years. Based in London, he will oversee claims activities worldwide within HDI’s Energy & Power Unit and report to Roman Felten, Global Head of Claims.
The appointment follows a recent leadership transition in HDI’s Energy & Power unit, which named Mark Mackay as Global Head of Energy & Power.
The unit consolidates cross-division expertise to manage the Energy & Power value chain under a single structure.
Wilson said he will focus on coordinating claims and underwriting teams across all hubs to support clients and brokers in conventional energy, power, and transition technologies.
Dr Barbara Klimaszewski-Blettner, HDI Global Executive Board member responsible for Claims Management and Germany, said the new role strengthens international claims capabilities and enhances the company’s ability to provide consistent service to clients and brokers.
Felten described Wilson as an internationally recognized claims expert whose appointment reinforces collaboration across hubs and functions.
Mackay added that the move connects underwriting and claims to improve service delivery across the Energy & Power portfolio.
