Howden Asia reels in new deputy CEO

His start date is subject to fulfilling his contractual obligations with current employer.

Howden announced the appointment of Rohan Bhappu as Deputy CEO of Howden Asia, effective June next year. 

Bhappu will report to Chye Huat Goh, CEO of Howden Asia, and will be based in Hong Kong.

Bhappu will assume the role of CEO for Howden Asia, reporting to David Howden, CEO of Howden. 

Goh will then succeed Mark Wood as chairman of the region and chairman of Private Wealth. Wood will continue to lead Howden’s Global Specialty Practices.

Bhappu joins Howden after 22 years with Marsh McLennan, where he held leadership roles across the USA, India, Singapore, and Hong Kong. 

Most recently, he was CEO of Marsh McLennan Hong Kong and Macau, overseeing the integration of JLT following its 2019 acquisition. 

Bhappu also led Marsh Asia’s sales operations and Mergers & Acquisitions practices, bringing a strong and proven skillset to his new role.

Bhappu’s start date is subject to fulfilling his contractual obligations with his current employer.
