
Howden Private Wealth announces new CEO for Singapore, Malaysia
A deputy CEO has also been appointed for Hong Kong.
Howden announced key promotions within its Private Wealth management team, with Bryan Pee and Shirley Sy stepping into new roles.
Pee has been appointed Chief Executive Officer for Singapore and Malaysia, effective 10 March.
Pee joined Howden in September 2023 as Head of the Singapore and Malaysia offices, following senior management roles at Credit Suisse.
He has been credited with driving significant growth for Howden in the region.
In his new position, Pee will oversee several teams and join Howden Private Wealth’s Executive Committee to help shape the division’s strategic direction.
Sy has been promoted to Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Hong Kong, effective 1 January.
Sy, who joined Howden in 2011 as New Business Manager and became Head of Operations in 2014, has been integral to the company’s growth and operational success.
She will continue to lead Hong Kong operations whilst also taking on partnership engagement responsibilities.
Howden Private Wealth has reported a 45% increase in policies written in 2024 and has placed over $50b in life insurance coverage globally, with more than $1.5b in new premiums annually.
