HSBC Life Singapore bolsters executive team

Both roles will report directly to CEO Harpreet Bindra.

HSBC Life Singapore has made two senior appointments to its executive committee, reinforcing its focus on client-centric services through multi-channel distribution. 

Both roles will report directly to Harpreet Bindra, chief executive officer of HSBC Life Singapore.

Ouling Lu has been named Chief Product Propositions Officer. He will lead the development of new product propositions and manage in-force activities. 

Lu previously served as Head of Products and Propositions across Greater Asia Life for Milliman and held leadership roles at Allianz in Asia, Europe, and the United States over a decade.

Michael Wei has been appointed Chief Partnership Distribution Officer, where he will oversee HSBC Life’s Bancassurance, High Net Worth (HNW), and Independent Financial Advisory channels in Singapore. 

He will also lead the company's Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Wei brings over 20 years of experience, including his role as Chief Partnership & Marketing Officer at Sun Life Singapore, along with leadership positions at Citi, OCBC, and Manulife, with a focus on the affluent, HNW, and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) segments.
