Indian insurance startup Loop raises $25m in Series B funding round
The funding round was led by its existing investors.
Indian insurance startup Loop has recently raised $25m in a Series B funding round led by its existing investors General Catalyst and Elevation Capital (formerly Saif Partners).
The funding round also saw participation from Khosla Ventures and US-based Optum Ventures and Sierra Ventures.
In its last funding round, Loop raised $12m from General Catalyst and Elevation Capital. This brings its total funds to $40m.
Loop said it plans to use the fresh funds to drive sales growth, product development and add new hires to scale its health assurance delivery model.
Loop was founded in 2018 by Mayank Kale, Amrit Singh, Ryan Singh, and Shami Raj. The firm offers group health insurance plans from prominent insurers to companies, bundling health check-ups and a dedicated doctor.

The company said it has provided health insurance and benefits to 130,000 people from over 300 companies in India. Loop has over 250 employees and has expanded its operations across the country.
