India's non-life insurance sector grows 4.41% YoY in November

Standalone health insurers saw their premiums climb 10% YoY.

India’s non-life insurance sector grew 4.41% year-on-year (YoY) in November, with specialised insurers recording a three-fold surge, data from the General Insurance Council showed.

Standalone health insurers saw their premiums climb 10% YoY, whilst general insurers inched up 1.41% YoY.

On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, the industry jumped 8.91% YoY. Specialised insurers’ premiums, on the other hand, dipped 1.78% YoY. 

Standalone health insurers saw their premiums jump 20.76% whilst general insurers climbed 7.94% YoY.
