Insurance Development Forum appoints new chair of operating committee
He succeeds Rowan Douglas, CEO of Climate Risk & Resilience at Howden.
The Insurance Development Forum (IDF) appointed Ivo Menzinger, managing director of Public Sector Business at Swiss Re, as Chair of its Operating Committee.
He succeeds Rowan Douglas, CEO of Climate Risk & Resilience at Howden, who helped establish the IDF between 2012 and 2015 and had served as Operating Committee Chair since the organisation’s launch at the Paris Climate Summit in 2015.
Menzinger previously served as deputy chair of the committee and co-chaired the IDF Sovereign and Humanitarian Working Group for nearly a decade.
His background in public-private partnerships, disaster risk management, and insurance positions him to lead the IDF as it marks its 10th year.
His focus will be on expanding climate and disaster resilience initiatives and strengthening cross-sector collaboration to accelerate implementation efforts.
