Insurtech Bowtie seals $35m series B2 round

It aims to narrow Hong Kong’s insurance gap with the new funding.

Bowtie, a Hong Kong-based virtual insurer completed a Series B2 funding round, raising a total of $34.9m. 

The primary investor leading this round is Sun Life Hong Kong, with additional participation from Mitsui & Co..

With the newly secured funding, Bowtie aims to expand its operations and advance its technologies in order to address Hong Kong's substantial $886b protection gap. 

Bowtie's goal is to expedite product innovation and strengthen vertical integration with healthcare providers, introducing differentiators that will fundamentally transform the customer experience.
