LIAM re-elects Raymond Lew as president

Lew holds over 30 years of experience as chief executive officer and president of Sun Life Malaysia Assurance Berhad. 

The Life Insurance Association of Malaysia (LIAM) has re-elected Raymond Lew as its president during the 50th annual general meeting on 27 March, whilst joining him is Ben Ng as the newly appointed vice-president for the term 2024-2025.

Lew worked at Sun Life Malaysia as chief distribution officer in 2013 and has also served as the insurance’s country head, overseeing the business operations of Sun Life Financial in Malaysia.

LIAM has decribed Lew as a "transformational leader who pioneered and grew Sun Life Malaysia's distribution, marketing, and analytics operations, drove client experience and digital transformation agenda."

Meanwhile, Ng has 30 years of experience in the life insurance industry, being one of the Asian actuaries qualified as a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS).
