Liberty folds APAC units into 1 licensed entity

Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and China now sit under merged underwriting structures.

Liberty International Insurance has completed its Asia-Pacific licence consolidation and the simplification of its brand to "Liberty" across key markets in the region.

The business has brought together its separate retail and commercial general insurance underwriting operations in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and China, and is now operating as one Liberty-licensed entity in each market.

The unified businesses now trade under the “Liberty” brand in Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. Existing brands continue in Malaysia, India and China.
