Liberty Mutual Re names Alex Koh as senior underwriter in Singapore

Koh will be managing and expanding LM Re's existing reinsurance portfolio.

Liberty Mutual Reinsurance (LM Re), a part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has appointed Alex Koh as Senior Underwriter, effective immediately. 

Based in Singapore, Koh will report to Annie Leong, Regional Underwriting Manager.

Koh's role will involve managing and expanding LM Re's existing reinsurance portfolio in the region. The company said its appointment of Koh reinforces the company's commitment to combining local expertise with global knowledge to better serve its clients.

“As our operation in Singapore continues to expand, his extensive experience will be a great asset to us, our brokers, partners, and clients, helping us effectively manage complex and emerging risks. Our operations in Asia Pacific have been on a strong growth trajectory in recent years, and with individuals of Alex's calibre, we are ready to continue our growth." Leong said.

Before joining Liberty Mutual Re, Koh served as a Treaty Manager for China Reinsurance Corporation (Group) in its Singapore branch, where he was responsible for underwriting treaty business from South Asia and South Korea.
