Lockton takes majority control of Lockton Sime broker

The firm also changed its name from Sime Darby Lockton Insurance Brokers.

Lockton Sime Insurance Brokers Sdn. Bhd. (formerly Sime Darby Lockton Insurance Brokers Sdn. Bhd.) has announced that Lockton has become the company’s majority shareholder, effective 31 December 2025. 

The change also comes with the company’s updated name, Lockton Sime Insurance Brokers Sdn. Bhd.

Lockton, a minority shareholder since 2007, now takes a leading role, reinforcing its commitment to growing its presence in Malaysia. 

Sime remains a minority shareholder, providing continuity whilst the enhanced alignment with Lockton’s global and regional teams aims to bring greater agility, access to expertise, and tailored solutions for the Malaysian market.
