Malakut boosts international team with Sogo Yasuda at helm

The broker established a new globally integrated Japanese brokerage department.

Malakut, an insurance and reinsurance broker, has appointed Sogo Yasuda as the head of Japanese business, based in Dubai, UAE. 

Malakut is establishing a new globally integrated Japanese insurance brokerage department, which will be led by Yasuda. 

In this role, he will be responsible for developing the group’s global Japanese capabilities in collaboration with our network partners across the globe. 

Prior to joining Malakut, Yasuda served as the Chief Commercial Officer at AON and Senior Vice President at Marsh, overseeing Europe, Middle East, and Africa for Japanese Business.

Before that, he graduated from Keio University with a Bachelor's degree in Economics in Japan and started his career at Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance. 

Throughout his tenure, including two assignments in the United States, he led and supported risk management efforts for large Japanese companies expanding into new overseas markets and establishing international footholds.
