Damien Green, recently appointed as the new CEO Asia Segment of Manulife

Manulife appoints new Asia chief

He is currently serving as the company’s Hong Kong CEO.

Manulife has appointed Damien Green as the new CEO, Asia Segment, replacing Anil Wadhwani who has left the company.

Green is currently serving as the CEO of Manulife’s Hong Kong business. He first joined the company in 2018 as the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer for Asia. He has held various leadership roles across Asia, working with big firms such as MetLife, AIA, and Australian Super.

Pankaj Banerjee, chief distribution officer of Manulife Asia will serve as interim CEO for Manulife Hong Kong pending completion of the appointment of Green’s successor.

Green will be reporting directly to Manulife President & CEO, Roy Gori.
