Manulife Asia reveals new CEO

The group also unveiled a new CEO.

Manulife has appointed Steve Finch as President and CEO of Manulife Asia, effective 9 May.

Finch succeeds Phil Witherington, who has been appointed as Manulife’s President and CEO on the same date.

Finch, currently serving as Manulife’s Chief Actuary, has been part of the company’s Executive Leadership team since 2016.
He played a key role in Manulife’s transformation and financial performance, including overseeing major transactions.

Finch has held several leadership roles during his 32-year tenure with Manulife, including Chief Financial Officer of John Hancock, the company’s US business, and General Manager of the US Life Insurance division, where he led the business to market leadership in life insurance sales.

Manulife will announce Finch’s successor as Chief Actuary in due course.
