Manulife IM re-recruits real estate exec

He will lead its third-party capital management activities in the region.

Kenny Lam has been appointed by Manulife Investment Management (IM) as its chief investment officer and head of transactions in Asia Pacific real estate.

Mainly, Lam will lead its third-party capital management activities in APAC.

Formerly, Lam was Link REIT’s co-chief investment officer. In his absence, George Hongchoy will take over his leadership role.

Based on Lam’s LinkedIn profile, he first joined Manulife in September 2017 as a senior managing director for Asia, CIO and head of Asia transactions. He left the company back in May 2022 and joined Link REIT for a year and four months.

He has previously worked with companies and public entities such as the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Ping An Real Estate, JP Morgan Asset Management, Citigroup Global Markets, and the HKSAR Government.
