Manulife partners with Prosper Health for cancer medication access
Eligible customers will have access to Manulife’s Personalised Medical Case Managers.
Manulife Hong Kong partnered with Prosper Health and Shenzhen New Frontier United Family Hospital to launch the "Cancer Drug Support Service.”
The press release said they are the first insurer to offer such a service.
The service allows eligible customers to connect with Manulife’s Personalised Medical Case Managers, who are qualified nurses with healthcare experience.
These managers will verify the availability and cost of prescribed cancer medications at the hospital and coordinate initial consultations upon request.
During the campaign period, eligible customers can also benefit from a complimentary door-to-door limousine service.
Carrie Tong, COO of Manulife Hong Kong and Macau, emphasised that the service is designed to reduce cancer treatment expenses.
Thom Gao, COO of Prosper Health, noted that the initiative builds on past successful collaborations and addresses the practical challenges of accessing oral cancer medications.
Brian Siu, COO of New Frontier GBA, added that the collaboration leverages the hospital's medical resource integration to simplify the treatment process and enhance patient convenience.
