Manulife Philippines names new CFO and CRO

President and CEO of Manulife Philippines emphasised the importance of appointing seasoned professionals.

Manulife Philippines appointed Justin Helferich as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Katerina Suarez as the Chief Risk Officer (CRO). 

Helferich will focus on driving the company's growth in the Philippines, while Suarez will be responsible for mitigating operational risks to enhance profitability and productivity.

Rahul Hora, President and CEO of Manulife Philippines, emphasised the importance of appointing experienced professionals who can capitalise on growth opportunities and manage market risks.

With over a decade of experience at Manulife, Helferich will optimise the company's financial strategy, revenue generation, and capital management as CFO. 

His leadership in Manulife Cambodia has played a vital role in maintaining the company's market position.

As CRO, Suarez will oversee compliance, operational, reputational, and strategic risk management. 

She previously served as CFO of Manulife Philippines and later assumed a regional role, leading In-Force and Expense Management for Manulife's Emerging Markets team.
