Miller appoints Sailesh Divakaram as head of Treaty Asia

The Singapore-based executive reports to Richard Broad who leads treaty for APAC.

Miller has appointed Sailesh Divakaram as head of Treaty Asia, strengthening its regional reinsurance leadership as it continues to expand its presence across the region.

Divakaram brings more than 30 years of experience across broking, underwriting, and risk management, with a strong focus on the Asian reinsurance market.

Prior to joining Miller, he spent eight years at Gallagher Re as an executive director, where he led the build-out of the firm’s treaty business in Asia.

He also previously worked in the treaty division at Guy Carpenter.

He is based in Miller’s Singapore office and reports to Richard Broad, Head of Treaty for Asia Pacific.

In his new role, Divakaram will focus on developing Miller’s treaty team in Asia and supporting a growing regional client base as part of the broker’s global reinsurance platform.

The appointment follows a year of expansion for Miller’s Asia operations and global reinsurance business. Key developments in 2025 included the acquisition of AHJ and the launch of Miller Korea. Divakaram joined Miller on 2 February.
