Miller makes a mark in Thailand’s energy sector
Miller will collaborate with CIS to serve energy clients in Thailand.
Miller, an independent insurance broker, entered into a long-term partnership with Central Insurance Services (CIS) in Thailand to strengthen their presence in the energy sector.
Under this partnership, Miller will collaborate with CIS to serve energy clients in Thailand, providing local service capabilities, deep market knowledge, and a range of services including technical consulting, risk engineering, reinsurance placement, and claims services.
This partnership expands upon Miller and Central's existing relationship in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance, in line with their commitment to growth in the energy and reinsurance sectors in Asia.

Ron Whyte, Head of Miller Asia, said “Thailand is an important market for energy, and one of the largest markets in Southeast Asia with over US$11 billion of non-life premiums placed annually. I look forward to working closely with Central and continuing to enhance our core growth strategy in the region,”
Narin Setabandhu, Head of Insurance at Central Group, stated “CIS has been exploring opportunities in other niche lines of business outside of Central Group property with strategic partners. Power and energy was identified as a niche line of business and with Miller’s expertise in this space and our existing valued partnership, I am excited to bring together our two highly complementary skill sets. Our joint belief in the importance of specialism and service excellence will allow us to serve the growing Thai market and bring clients the expertise they need.”
