Miller names new sports and entertainment head for APAC

Krishnan's previous roles include positions at the Singapore Sports Council and ESPN STAR Sports.

Specialist (re)insurer broker, Miller, appointed Siva Krishnan as head of Sports and Entertainment, Asia, expanding its sports and entertainment segment into the Asia Pacific (APAC) market.

Krishnan, who has worked as an independent sports consultant for three years, brings 25 years of experience in roles across the sports industry, including sports business, events management, insurance buying, and contract clauses for events.

His previous roles include positions at the Singapore Sports Council and ESPN STAR Sports.

His appointment follows Miller’s expansion into new markets in line with the firm’s broader growth strategy.

For APAC, the focus will be on live events, sporting events and tours, sports associations as well as film & TV.

Krishnan’s appointment follows a series of senior hires across Asia, including Edward Cheak as Head of Credit and Political Risk Insurance Asia last month.
