MSIG Singapore unveils pet insurance with up to $15k coverage
It also includes complementary therapies such as acupuncture and physiotherapy.
MSIG Singapore has launched a new pet insurance product, PawEasy, aimed at addressing the rising cost of pet healthcare and the increasing demand for coverage amongst pet owners.
The plan provides up to $14,800 (S$20,000) per year in coverage for hospitalisation and surgery, making it one of the highest coverage limits available in the local market.
PawEasy also includes coverage for pre-surgery consultations and diagnostic tests up to 30 days before a procedure, as well as post-surgery treatment for up to 60 days.
Complementary therapies such as acupuncture and physiotherapy, mobility aids, and cremation and burial expenses are also included.
Policyholders can receive up to a 15% No Claims Discount upon renewal.
Optional add-ons allow pet owners to tailor their coverage further.
These include third-party liability coverage of up to $370,000 (S$500,000), outpatient non-surgical treatment up to $3,700 (S$5,000), chemotherapy coverage of up to $4,440 (S$6,000) per pet’s lifetime, and pet boarding in cases where the owner is stranded overseas due to illness, injury, or travel delays.
Annual premiums start at $236.06 (S$319) for dogs and $94.72 (S$128) for cats. To be eligible, pets must be between 16 weeks and nine years old, microchipped, licensed, and fully vaccinated.
