Munich Re Korea gets new CEO

His role is effective 1 August.

Ajeet Phatak has been named chief executive officer (CEO) of Munich Re’s Korea Branch.

Phatak has been with Munch Re for over a decade. He has held roles such as head of Client Management in Japan, and regional head of Agriculture in Southeast Asia, India, Japan, and South Korea.

Before Munich Re, he was a senior market underwriter and vice president at Swiss Re.

“I have now relocated to Seoul from 1st of August 2024 as the CEO for our Branch in Korea, after heading the Client Management for Japan the last 3 years based in Tokyo,” his LinkedIn profile read.
