Philippine state insurer completes non-life insurance hub rollout
The new hub serves both individual GSIS members and institutional clients.
The Philippines’ Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) launched its Non-Life Insurance Hub at the GSIS Quezon City Branch on 30 June, marking the completion of its nationwide rollout under the unified brand “Ginhawa Insure, Para Sure.”
The new hub serves both individual GSIS members and institutional clients.
It offers motor vehicle, fire, and personal accident insurance coverage for individuals, whilst also handling applications, renewals, and claims for government properties, including buildings, vehicles, and equipment.
GSIS President and general manager Wick Veloso said the Quezon City location is strategic, enabling the agency to support more institutions and safeguard public assets more efficiently.
From January to May 2025, GSIS recorded $130m (₱7.59b) in gross premiums written for non-life insurance, an 11.9% increase year-on-year. In 2024, GSIS exceeded its premium collection target, reaching $190m (₱10.5b) against a goal of $160m (₱8.9b).
