PIAM supports trade dep’t for better motor repair industry

It aims to have a better outcome for the development and sustainability of the motor insurance and repair ecosystem.

The General Insurance Association of Malaysia (PIAM) expresses its support for the proactive initiative led by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) in the development of the Malaysian Standard – Motor Vehicle Aftermarket Smash Repair Requirements (JSM MS).

The JSM MS is expected to be officially launched by Jabatan Standard Malaysia (JSM) in early 2024, to enhance standards and professionalism in motor vehicle smash repair workshop activities across the nation.

PIAM commends the collaborative approach taken by MITI in involving key stakeholders in the motor repair ecosystem for the development of JSM MS.
