Ping An rises in Forbes list as China firms dominate
The insurer reported assets of $1.99t during the assessment period.
Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China rose one place to 26th in the Forbes Global 2000 ranking for 2026, making it the second-highest ranked insurance company in the world and the highest-ranked insurer in China.
The annual Forbes Global 2000 ranks the world's largest publicly listed companies based on revenue, profit, assets and market value.
Amongst the 113 insurance companies on this year's list, Ping An improved its global insurance ranking to second. It was also one of 340 Chinese companies included in the 2026 ranking.
The top six Chinese companies on the list were Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, PetroChina and Ping An.
During the assessment period, Ping An reported revenue of $158.13b, profit of $18.74b, assets of $1.99t and a market value of $144.4b.
