Pioneer Insurance adopts Whoscall to block scam calls

The insurer is the first in the Philippines to use Verified Business Number.

Pioneer Insurance & Surety Corporation has partnered with Gogolook, the developer of anti-scam application Whoscall, becoming the first insurer in the Philippines to adopt Whoscall's Verified Business Number (VBN) service across its operations.

The partnership aims to help policyholders identify legitimate calls from Pioneer and reduce the risk of impersonation scams, as fraud-related calls continue to rise in the country.

According to the Whoscall 2025 Philippines Scam Report, 477,302 scam calls were recorded in the Philippines last year. 

The companies said the collaboration will extend customer protection beyond traditional insurance services by helping consumers verify communications from Pioneer in real time.

Under the agreement, verified calls from Pioneer will be identified through Whoscall's VBN service, allowing customers to distinguish legitimate company calls from potential scam attempts.
