Prudential launches care service as Malaysians delay treatment
The service gives eligible customers help from specialist booking to recovery.
Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad (PAMB) has launched Prudential Guided Care, a healthcare support service for customers with medical insurance, as more Malaysians report delaying medical treatment because they are unsure where to seek care.
The launch follows findings from Prudential's 2026 Patient Voices Malaysia report, which showed that 94% of Malaysians have delayed seeking medical care.
More than half (54%) said uncertainty about where to go and concerns over affordability were amongst the main reasons.
Prudential Guided Care is available to customers with eligible medical plans and provides support throughout the healthcare journey, from arranging specialist appointments to recovery after treatment.
The service includes a 24-hour Care Concierge to help customers find specialists and book appointments, case management with access to second medical opinions, and home care services provided either at home or in a dedicated care centre.
The insurer said the programme also includes features such as PRUPanel Plus, No Claims Benefit, day surgery benefits and support for advanced treatments as part of its medical insurance offering.
Manisha Keyal, Chief Health Officer at Prudential Assurance Malaysia, said the new service is intended to help customers access appropriate medical care more easily and provide support during treatment and recovery.
