Prudential Singapore floats new hospitalisation plan

It grants access to more affordable public and private healthcare.

Prudential Singapore has launched a new supplementary hospitalisation plan that gives customers access to both public and private healthcare at a lower cost.

The PRUExtra Preferred CoPay plan offers premiums that are 30% lower than the insurer’s existing private hospitalisation plan and enables clients to receive medical treatment at Raffles Hospital and Mount Alvernia Hospital under the PRUPanel Connect (PPC) programme.

Clients are granted cashless services of up to S$30,000 at both hospitals and do not need to receive a pre-authorisation form from the insurer before proceeding with their treatment. Out of pocket expenses are capped at S$3,000.

Other benefits include a gradual multiplier on claims-based pricing and supplementary plans such as the PruExtra Premier CoPay, PruExtra Premier Lite CoPay and the PruExtra Plus CoPay.

Prudential is also lowering its premiums for its base public hospitalisation integrated shield plan PRUShield Plus by 10-31% effective 1 April.
