QBE Re names Soichiro Tanaka Southeast Asia head

The executive joins from Aspen and will report to Cindy Foo in Singapore.

QBE Re appointed Soichiro Tanaka as its head of Southeast Asia. 

Soichiro has more than a decade worth of experience in insurance and reinsurance across Asia. 

He joins from Aspen where he was a Senior Underwriter, contributing to growth across property, casualty and specialty lines for the company’s Singapore branch.  

In this newly created role, Soichiro will lead underwriting strategy for Southeast Asia, overseeing portfolio management and growth opportunities as the reinsurer continues to expand its footprint in Asia. 

He will be based in Singapore, reporting directly to Cindy Foo, Head of Asia, Treaty.
