RHB Insurance launches AutoMax as peril gaps hit drivers
Standard comprehensive motor policies do not automatically include floods.
RHB Insurance has launched AutoMax, a private car insurance product aimed at providing protection for Malaysian motorists, including coverage for natural disasters, extended towing services and additional financial benefits.
Standard comprehensive motor insurance policies in Malaysia do not automatically include coverage for special perils such as floods and other natural disasters, RHB Insurance said in a statement.
AutoMax is available in two plans, Pro and Lite. The Pro plan offers broader protection, including coverage for special perils, whilst the Lite plan is positioned as a lower-cost option with benefits beyond those offered by a standard comprehensive motor insurance policy.
According to RHB Insurance, the product includes roadside assistance with a towing limit of up to 600km round trip for accidents and breakdowns, an increase from limits commonly offered under basic motor insurance products.
The policy also provides an accident repair allowance, a theft or total loss allowance and key cover for lost or damaged vehicle keys.
Coverage extends to all drivers of the insured vehicle, removing the need to name individual drivers under the policy.
