Sedgwick expands energy claims expertise in APAC

It created a team dedicated to this solution.

Claims management firm, Sedgwick, launched new solutions to address the loss adjusting and claims management needs of energy and natural resources companies in Asia Pacific (APAC).

“The specialist team will focus on handling claims and supporting emerging trends in the region’s traditional energy mix and the region’s pivot to renewable and other sustainable energy sources, such as thermal and renewable power, along with hydrogen, floating solar and wind turbines. Their capabilities also include serving traditional power plants, infrastructure and construction service providers in the energy and power sectors,” the company said in a media release.

The team will focus on both traditional and renewable energy sectors, including power plants, infrastructure, and emerging areas like hydrogen and floating solar.

Led by industry veterans Nigel Cook, Neil Best, and Liew Boon Tat, the team brings extensive experience in managing complex claims, from construction and operational losses to renewable energy projects.

“Amid the expansion of clean energy and natural resources industries in Asia, this is a pivotal time for us to offer our resources to clients and invest in long-time partnerships in the region,” Cook said.
