Singlife adds turbulence injury payouts to travel insurance plans
This new benefit is now included in all tiers of its travel plans.
Singlife has introduced a benefit for turbulence-related injuries, expanding its travel insurance offerings with a new lump-sum payout of up to $780 (S$1,000) for in-flight turbulence injuries.
This new benefit is now included in all tiers of its travel plans—Travel Lite, Travel Plus, and Travel Prestige—at no additional cost.
Under the new feature, policyholders injured during flight turbulence will receive fixed hospital income payouts ranging from $390 (S$500) to $780 (S$1,000), depending on the plan.
The highest tier, Travel Prestige, also includes coverage for ICU admissions overseas.
The addition is part of broader enhancements to Singlife’s travel insurance, including optional coverage for pre-existing conditions, rainfall disruption payouts of up to $117 (S$150), and unlimited overseas medical coverage for Travel Prestige policyholders.
The insurer also offers reimbursements for cancelled trips, lost loyalty points, and pregnancy-related emergency expenses.
