Singlife’s PROPEL appoints new technology chief

The new CTO will focus on enhancing the PROPEL platform.

PROPEL with Singlife has appointed Terry Chen as its new chief technology officer (CTO).

Chen will supervise the platform’s technology strategy, focusing on growing and innovating its capabilities to provide seamless, scalable solutions for financial advisory firms. He will also be responsible for optimising the platform’s operational efficiency, refining user experience, and driving innovation to minimise inefficiencies faced by financial advisers in their day-to-day work.

The new CTO has over 18 years of experience in financial services, technology, and strategy consulting across ASEAN.

Before joining PROPEL, Chen was the principal of Platinion and Technology and Digital Advantage in the Boston Consulting Group. He also held senior roles during his tenure at Accenture and contributed to bank-wide transformation initiatives at Maybank.
