Sompo and Collinson extend travel delay service across Asia

The service allows travellers to access over 1,800 airport lounges.

Sompo and Collinson International has expanded its partnership to launch Sompo Smart Delay in Singapore, mainland China, and Malaysia, following a rollout in Thailand.

The service allows eligible Sompo travel insurance policyholders to access over 1,800 airport lounges and travel experiences when their flights are delayed.

Customers register their flights a few hours before departure and, in case of a delay, receive a digital voucher granting immediate lounge access or other options such as spa sessions or restaurant discounts (without the need for a claims process).

The expansion comes as flight disruptions remain common across the region.
Collinson said about 54 million travellers in Asia-Pacific experienced flight delays of more than an hour in the first half of 2025.
