Sompo appoints Alessandrea Quane as CEO for international markets

She will report to James Shea, CEO of Sompo P&C.

Sompo has appointed Alessandrea Quane as Chief Executive Officer for International Markets. 

She will report to James Shea, CEO of Sompo P&C, and will oversee commercial and consumer insurance operations outside North America and Japan. 

Regional heads in the UK, Continental Europe, Brazil, and Asia Pacific will report directly to her.

Quane brings more than 30 years of insurance industry experience, having worked in the US, UK, Germany, and France. 

She previously held senior roles including Global Corporate Chief Actuary and Chief Risk Officer, most recently serving as Chief Insurance Officer at Oscar Health and as an independent director at AXA XL Bermuda.
