Sompo appoints new risk Chief for APAC

She will report to Emmanuel Brule, CRO of Sompo International Holdings.

Sompo appointed Lily Claydon as Chief Risk Officer for Asia-Pacific (APAC), starting 3 March.  

In her new role, Claydon will lead risk management, governance, and analytics for Sompo’s APAC operations whilst also focusing on talent development in the region. 

She will report to Emmanuel Brule, Chief Risk Officer of Sompo International Holdings, and Kenneth Reilly, CEO of Insurance APAC. 

She will also join the APAC executive team in Singapore.  

Brule highlighted Claydon’s industry expertise and strong stakeholder relationships, stating that she is well-positioned to drive Sompo’s strategic risk management priorities in APAC.

Reilly noted that her 20 years of experience in both public and private risk sectors would enhance risk management practices and financial resilience across the business.  

Claydon joins Sompo from AIG and has previously held senior risk management roles at BoltTech Group and FWD Group. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Double Master of Commerce and International Business from The University of Sydney.
