Sompo net income more than doubles to $3.3b in 9M 2025
Basic earnings per share reached $3.61 for the nine months to March.
Sompo Holdings' net income for the nine months to March more than doubled to $3.3b (JPY520.6b).
The period’s basic earnings per share was at $3.61 (JPY564.40).
Sompo Holdings reported higher revenue and profit across all its main business segments for the period under review.
In its domestic property and casualty (P&C) insurance business, insurance revenue rose by $0.4b (JPY58.6b) year on year to $13.0b (JPY2,027.8b).
The overseas insurance business recorded insurance revenue of $11.6b (JPY1,806.8b), up $0.5b (JPY82.0b) from the same period last year.
In the domestic life insurance segment, insurance revenue increased by $0.03b (JPY4.2b) to $1.2b (JPY194.4b).
As at 31 December 2025, total consolidated assets stood at $107.2b (JPY16,747.3b), an increase of $5.5b (JPY857.2b) from 31 March 2025.
Total consolidated equity rose by $5.2b (JPY812.2b) over the same period to $32.2b (JPY5,038.4b).
