Sompo welcomes new COO for APAC

She will be based in Singapore.

Sompo appointed Maya Dongyoung Lee as chief operating officer for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, effective immediately. 

Lee will oversee the insurer's APAC operations, focusing on operational excellence, transformation, and project management. 

She will also be responsible for expanding Sompo’s operational footprint in the region and developing talent.

Lee will report to Daniel Englberger, chief operating officer of Sompo International Holdings, and Kenneth Reilly, chief executive officer for Insurance, APAC. 

She will join the APAC executive team and be based in Singapore.

Lee previously worked at Manulife, PwC, and MetLife, where she led transformation initiatives. She holds an MBA from Yonsei University.
