Swiss Re Corporate Solutions appoints new Malaysian chief

Jack See will take over from Juerg Stoll, as the latter retires in January next year.

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has appointed Jack See as the new head of Malaysia and principal officer of its operations in Malaysia.

See will succeed Juerg Stoll, who retires on 31 January 2022. He will oversee a well-established, local team of sales and underwriting specialists servicing large and upper mid-sized Malaysian businesses, through broking partnerships and other intermediaries.

He will also relocate from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur for the role.

See brings long-term insurance experience to this role, with significant involvement in the Malaysia market dating back to 2008 when he first started his underwriting career. He joined Swiss Re Corporate Solutions as a Senior Underwriter and is currently Head of Casualty & Finpro Southeast Asia, a role he will continue to maintain in addition to his new roles. Over the years, See has been instrumental in repositioning the business portfolio and transforming underwriting approaches to meet market requirements

“Malaysia is an important market for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, and we are pleased to be able to promote a proven leader like Jack to this critical role for our company. Jack is deeply familiar with the insurance landscape in Malaysia, having held several roles at Swiss Re since joining the company in 2015. His extensive network coupled with his industry and local market knowledge makes him the perfect choice to lead our ongoing growth and momentum in the market. Jack will continue to drive sustainable growth while delivering strategic business propositions and partnerships to better serve our Malaysian clients,” said Didier Bélot, head of Southeast Asia at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions.

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions is the commercial insurance arm of the Swiss Re Group.
