Tokio Marine Kiln appoints Beresford to life sciences team

She will report to Kirsten Shastri, the unit’s head.

Tokio Marine Kiln has appointed Adele Beresford as an underwriter in its Life Sciences team. 

She will report to Kirsten Shastri, the unit’s head, and has taken up the role immediately.

Beresford joins from CNA Hardy, where she most recently worked as an underwriter in the financial lines division. 

She holds a BSc in Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology from Curtin University, giving her both scientific grounding and underwriting experience that TMK says will support its work with life sciences clients.

The company said her appointment will help it strengthen its underwriting capabilities for businesses ranging from early-stage life sciences firms to established research companies.
