Transamerica Life Bermuda launches indexed universal life in Hong Kong

Transamerica Life Bermuda has launched its Opus One Indexed Universal Life (IUL) product for professional investors, making it one of the first insurers in Hong Kong to offer IUL solutions under the city’s evolving regulatory framework.
The launch comes alongside the appointment of Brandon Szeto as chief commercial officer. Szeto will lead the company’s commercial strategy as it expands in Asia and other markets.
Opus One offers features including a volatility-controlled VC Uncapped Index Account, flexible protection, and liquidity options.
The product is aimed at high-net-worth clients seeking globally diversified wealth-growth instruments with built-in legacy protection and succession-planning features.
CEO Kristine Ung said the company is investing in talent and capabilities to deliver client-focused solutions across key markets.
