Tune Protect and Collinson partner for lounge access
It’s available to customers who purchase select AirAsia travel insurance plans.
Collinson International has partnered with Tune Protect Group to introduce Delay Lounge Pass, a service that provides airport lounge access to travellers experiencing flight delays.
The service is available to customers who purchase selected AirAsia travel insurance plans powered by Tune Protect.
If a flight is delayed by two hours or more, eligible policyholders will receive a notification and a digital lounge access voucher, granting them entry to Collinson International’s network of over 1,600 airport lounges and travel experiences worldwide.
Collinson International’s research indicates that flight delays affect 33 million travellers across the Asia Pacific each year, with six in ten surveyed experiencing stress and a "Fear of Switching Off" (FOSO) due to preflight disruptions.
Todd Handcock, Global Chief Commercial Officer and Asia Pacific Executive Chair at Collinson International, noted that passenger numbers are projected to reach 5.2 billion in 2025, a 6.7% increase from 2024.
He emphasised that rising travel demand places pressure on infrastructure, often resulting in delays, and expressed confidence that the partnership with Tune Protect will help alleviate travel stress by providing passengers with comfortable spaces to unwind.
Tune Protect Group CEO How Kim Lian described airport lounge access as the first step in Tune Protect’s broader strategy to enhance the travel experience and establish itself as a key player in the regional travel ecosystem.
