ZhongAn Insurance publishes white paper on generative AI application

China-based ZhongAn Insurance and ZhongAn Technology published their first white paper on generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
The paper, titled "AIGC/ChatGPT Insurance Industry Application White Paper", offers a thorough analysis of over 30 specific areas where AIGC technology can be used in the insurance sector, along with ZhongAn's own investigation of its potential.
This advancement signifies notable progress in incorporating AI into the Chinese insurance industry, with ZhongAn taking the lead.
AIGC demonstrates capabilities in comprehending and interpreting intricate sentence structures, semantic connections, and logical reasoning. It excels at capturing long-term dependencies in text, understanding context and meaning, and producing highly accurate, coherent, and semantically enhanced text.

The white paper suggests that insurance institutions need to swiftly address the challenges of selecting and researching LLM models in the near future.
They should also promote the widespread adoption of AIGC technology in various areas, including multimodal marketing content and strategy recommendations, intelligent customer service, and code generation.
In the medium and long term, personalised marketing will emerge as the central focus of competition amongst insurance institutions, and every insurance company should strive to move in this direction.
